Yves Saint Laurent Autumn Winter 2011

This Yves Saint Laurent collection seemed to be heavily inspired by the 80’s archive, particularly the tailoring, which resulted in some lovely hounds tooth pieces but also a few jackets and dresses that felt far too mature for the current YSL woman. On that note, someone like my aunt, who does wear “professional” suits and is a huge YSL customer and dresses her age, which is over 40, would buy a ton of this. And I guess she is the one they are trying to please, not me.

I love…

a gorgeous winter coat.

I loathe…

that some of these pieces look quite mature, and not in a good way.

a very non-YSL school girl dress.

I’m not sure about…

this weird chain link print. Is it YSL 80's cool? Or just tacky.
